Web Authentication and Federation

UNI-authorized login access for Columbia's services and partner web applications.

Also known as single sign-on, CAS or SSO.

CUIT provides UNI-based authentication (single sign-on) for Columbia University services and partner web applications, allowing you to access multiple accounts hosted on different platforms with the same UNI/password combination.

Single sign-on is provided via Central Authentication Service (CAS) and Shibboleth services. CAS can provide LDAP user attributes to facilitate application authorization. For more information on how CAS works, what it can tell your applications, how to customize the login page and more, please visit our CAS Authentication page.

WIND authentication has been unsupported since 2017.
