Data Center Facilities

The Data Center Facilities department supports groups within CUIT and other departments at Columbia who need presence in the University's main data center or at our disaster recovery site. The team's main areas of responsibility include managing rack space, power, cooling and tracking energy usage of the main data center; managing rack space of Columbia's racks at the disaster recovery site; hardware procurement, installation, maintenance, and decommissioning; and media destruction.

The Data Center Facilities team also supports a portion of CUIT's high performance computing (HPC) service, used by Columbia's world-class researchers.
