Security Awareness Training
- Columbia University’s Security Awareness platform is powered by Arctic Wolf. This platform provides the following through emailed links:
- The introductory (Quick Start) module is a 5-minute module that will introduce you to the Managed Awareness program and describe some of the topics covered by the program.
- Weekly 2-3 minute modules that cover Security topics such as Phishing Email attacks and Social Engineering, and some tips on how to avoid being a victim of those threats.
- Phishing Simulations will be conducted randomly every month to help our community identify and report suspicious emails to Columbia University’s CyberSecurity team.
- Communications from Arctic Wolf will be sent from the address “[email protected]”
FAQ
- What is the “Quick Start” module?
- It is the first module a new user receives that introduces the Managed Awareness platform and describes what topics will be covered.
- What do I do if I don’t complete a module and need to find it in my email?
- Go to your email and search “Today’s Security Awareness Session”
- Can I use a training link that was provided to me by a friend?
- No. Each link to training modules is specific to the user and will only count for the link's intended recipient.
- How do I complete the training if I have deleted the email?
- If you deleted the email with the training link before you completed it, don’t worry, Managed Awareness sends out monthly training reports that will contain your specific training links to the modules you haven’t completed yet. You can find your monthly status email by searching “User Status Report - Columbia University Managed Security Awareness” in your email.
